This comic is so me

http://xkcd.com/302/

I swear there are at least a dozen people I speak to a regular basis whose names I just don't know and now I have known them for so long, I just can't ask anymore.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who does that! I am so horrible with people's names. I've known this person at school for about a year and a half and I have no idea what her name is. :/ But, show me an animal that I saw at the clinic two years ago, and I can tell you everything about him. I guess that shows where my priorities lie.

*LOL* I am exactly the same way. I know the animal, but can't for the life of me remember the owner's name - even last name. I do remember the animal's name and their entire medical and behavioural history though.
Now I work in IT support I have to remember my clients' names and I swear that is the hardest part of the job at times.

Ha, that's a great comic today! I have the complete opposite problem. I have an awesome short term memory and can remember the names of people but they don't remember me. So I find that to avoid putting someone on the spot, either a) I talk about myself in third person or b) I tell inane stories about myself to help jog their memories. If it doesn't work, I'm just remembered as *that girl* who talks alot....
